Advocacy & Government Relations
GRMCA actively represents the ready mixed concrete industry at the Georgia Capitol. We work to protect and advance the interests of our members through legislative engagement and regulatory advocacy, promoting fair policies and opposing initiatives that threaten our industry. GRMCA has successfully advocated for the purchase and maintenance of Mixer Trucks to be sales tax exempt until June 2031.

Reduction of Mix Overdesign
GRMCA is working to reduce unnecessary mix overdesign by improving field testing practices and promoting consistent adherence to standards. Through the Concrete Testing Adherence Collaboration (CTAC) program, we collect data, identify problem areas, and collaborate with testing labs to strengthen quality and sustainability. These efforts help lower carbon impact, reduce costs, and build trust across the supply chain.
