Bill Benzur, Executive Director

Bill is a native of Atlanta, mechanical engineering graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, and former licensed professional engineer. After graduating from Tech in 1980, he worked for many years in the pulp and paper industry. He co-founded Pinnacle Group, a management consulting firm, in 1993 and provided counsel to Fortune 1000 companies in the U.S. and Canada.
In 2002, Bill joined Alpharetta-based Fulton Concrete Company as VP/GM. He was hired by Vulcan Materials Company in 2011 to be GM of their newly formed concrete business, which resulted from the acquisition of Fulton Concrete and Tucker Concrete. He became involved with the Georgia Concrete and Products Association and served as Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Board of Directors. Bill was instrumental in the “re-branding” of the Association and the transition to the Georgia Ready Mix Concrete Association. Bill left Vulcan in 2017 prior to the acquisition of the business by Thomas Concrete Company.
Bill and his wife Renee live on 18 acres in Putnam County near Lake Oconee. In recent years he has concentrated on his passion for wood artistry (https://benzur.wixsite.com/benz) and serving as a Deacon at church. Their wooded retreat is a haven for three children, five grandchildren and three Brittany Pointers.

Emily Engel Fries, Director of Government Relations and Member Services

Emily, a native of Ellijay, Georgia, joined the GRMCA in 2019, bringing a background in legislative work and a passion for advocacy. She graduated from Georgia State University in 2017 with a degree in Psychology and later earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from Valdosta State University in 2023. Before joining GRMCA, Emily served as a Legislative Assistant to the Georgia House of Representatives.
As the Director of Government Relations and Member Services at GRMCA, Emily is committed to advancing the interests of the association’s members and cultivating meaningful relationships within the industry. She values the time spent getting to know members and their businesses, aligning their needs with legislative efforts to support the concrete industry. Outside of her professional life, Emily remains deeply connected to her hometown and family’s business, Engelheim Vineyards. She resides in Suwanee with her husband Brad.

Mikaela Bowman, Manager of Office Administration

Raised in the ready mix industry, Mikaela grew up visiting plants and assisted with loading trucks. Before joining the GRMCA, she worked as an AP/AR specialist for Peachtree Fence & Gates and spent 5 years in a management position at Chick-fil-a. Mikaela brings with her a strong work ethic and a commitment to learning and growing in her role.
Mikaela lives in Cumming. Shaw and Mikaela welcomed their first son, Tucker, into the world in September of 2024. She enjoys spending time with Shaw, Tucker, and their German Shepard, Loki. On the weekends, you can find her working on little projects around her new home.

Tucker Green, Contract Lobbyist

Having long held an interest in politics, government and entrepreneurship, Tucker likewise found inspiration in the form of his grandfather, whose involvement in CAAG and the HVAC industry helped lead to his career. While attending the University of Georgia, he was encouraged to run for the local school board and, in 2018, became the youngest elected official in his county and youngest school board member in Georgia. Since graduating from the University of Georgia, Tucker has distinguished himself on the Pickens County Board of Education, as a lobbyist and Executive Director of the Conditioned Air Association of Georgia and as the owner of Tucker Green & Associates Inc.
In 2021, Tucker received the honor of being inducted into Marquis Who’s Who for his early success. He was also voted Top 5 in Georgia for James Magazine’s Rising Star Lobbyists of the Year in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Tucker is an active community member working with Optimist Club International and is a member of Riverdale Baptist Church. In his free time, he enjoys golf, hunting, time with family, and cheering on the Dawgs!
