As of 2018, In an effort to ensure proper concrete testing and support safe concrete construction practices, two new amendments to the Georgia Building Code now require ACI Certification. The first amendment states that only ACI-certified field technicians can sample and test fresh concrete in the field. The second amendment requires ACI Strength Testing Technician certification for individuals breaking cylinders in the lab.
