Concrete Finishers Forum

Purpose
The GRMCA Finisher Forum is designed to provide practical, jobsite-focused education on how Type 1L (PLC) cement and other blended cement mixes containing materials such as slag and fly ash can affect concrete placement and finishing.

As concrete mixtures continue to evolve, finishers may encounter changes in set times, bleed water, finishing windows, and overall material behavior. The forum will help bridge the gap between material science and field execution by discussing these changes in practical terms and reinforcing best practices for achieving successful results.

The program will address considerations for both interior slabs and exterior flatwork/paving and is intended to support finishers, contractors, and construction professionals working directly with these materials.
