Advocacy & Government Relations
GRMCA actively represents the ready mixed concrete industry at the Georgia Capitol. We work to protect and advance the interests of our members through legislative engagement and regulatory advocacy, promoting fair policies and opposing initiatives that threaten our industry. GRMCA has successfully advocated for the purchase and maintenance of Mixer Trucks to be sales tax exempt until June 2031.
Each year the GRMCA advocates for the renewal of the hours-of-service variance with the Department of Public Safety. This is not a “rubber stamp” type of a process and requires that we provide the DPS Board with a legitimate business case for the variance. This variance has a profound impact on the prosperity of our member companies as it allows for increased productivity.
Networking & Events
Connect with industry peers and decision-makers at GRMCA events, including our annual meeting, scholarship golf tournament, driver skills tournament and various educational workshops. These events foster valuable relationships and collaboration across our industry.
Reduction of Mix Overdesign
GRMCA is working to dramatically improve the field testing of our product. Through the Concrete Testing Adherence Collaboration (CTAC) mobile app, we collect data on how ready mix is tested on job sites. There is a particular focus on cylinder making, field curing and transportation, as this is the basis of acceptance of our concrete. We collaborate with contractors, engineers, labs and other stakeholders, to address testing adherence shortcomings. Our ultimate aim is to reduce mix “overdesign” which in turn lowers carbon content, reduces costs, and builds trust across the supply chain.

Our team serves as a unified voice for Georgia's concrete industry, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, regulatory bodies, and industry partners, to influence decisions that affect your business.

Active Member Committees
GRMCA offers members the opportunity to participate in a range of working committees that identify and resolve high priority issues that impact the safety, compliance and prosperity of our member companies. These include the Legislative, Technical, Safety & Environmental, Workforce Development, and Fleet & Plant committees. Committee involvement allows members to contribute their expertise, stay engaged on critical issues, and help drive improvements in key focus areas.
Membership
GRMCA membership is divided into two categories: Producer, and Associate
(A) PRODUCER MEMBERSHIP. Producer membership in the Georgia Ready Mixed Concrete Association shall be open to firms, individuals and corporations engaged in the ready mix manufacturing industry in the State of Georgia
(B) ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP. Associate membership in the GRMCA, shall be open to manufacturers and providers of equipment, material and supplies of all kinds sold or offered for sale to members of the concrete industry in Georgia. Associate membership is also available to individuals and corporations engaged in the concrete industry involved in installing, servicing, or testing concrete and to service providers to members of the concrete industry in Georgia.
